Respiratory Therapy

Bear Valley Community Hospital offers skilled respiratory care services. Our skilled practitioners together have approximately 78 years of experience and education in clinical practice and research in high altitude pulmonary physiology.

Our staff members are California licensed Respiratory Care Practitioners, with strong backgrounds in high altitude training, pulmonary evaluation, breathing devices, and ventilators.

Outpatient Services Offered By Respiratory Therapy

Pulmonary Function Testing – We provide a pulmonary function screen test that can be tested before and following the use of your inhalers. This test will allow the patients physician to see the documentation of their lung capacities and record the effectiveness of the inhaler.

EKG (Electrokardiogram) – An EKG is an electrical tracing of the patients heart. It checks for abnormalities in the electrical signals inside of the patients heart and is then documented for the physician.

ABG (Arterial Blood Gases) – This measures the levels of the oxygen and carbon dioxide in the blood to determine how well your lungs are working.
